  • 11 1/2 lbs chicken breast

  • 1 1/2 tsp minced onion
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced

  1. Add 1 cup of broth to the slow cooker/instant pot.  Place the chicken breast in the slow cooker/instant pot.  Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of broth.

To make in the slow cooker:

  1. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
  2. When the chicken is done, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.

To make in the instant pot:

  1. Close the lid on the Instant Pot and make sure you are NOT venting.
  2. Select the poultry setting which should default to 20 minute cook time on the normal mode.
  3. Allow for a natural release or do a quick release using a towel to make sure you don’t get burned.
  4. Remove the chicken from the instant pot and shred with two forks.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
