This recipe for oven roasted broccoli is one of my easiest recipes to date and it’s definitely among one of the tastiest!
If you would have asked me 5 years ago if I would be saying that about a broccoli recipe I would have laughed at you. I have always liked broccoli, but I wasn’t ever in love with it to the point where I would crave it.
That was until the first time I made roasted broccoli in the oven. I could not believe how amazing it tasted!
Roasting the broccoli with the olive oil and seasoning just turns it into this whole new vegetable that I actually crave.
If you haven’t tried roasted broccoli yet then you need to run to the kitchen and try it ASAP! It’s just SO good!
So let’s talk about how you make this easy roasted broccoli recipe.
EASY ROASTED BROCCOLI RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 lbs broccoli florets
- 2 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
HOW TO MAKE ROASTED BROCCOLI IN THE OVEN:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add broccoli florets to the baking sheet and drizzle olive oil, and sprinkle the seasoning over the broccoli (save the lemon juice for after baking!). Toss to coat the broccoli evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the broccoli is tender and the edges have started to darken and are crisp.
- Pour the lemon juice evenly over the broccoli and serve.
HOW TO MAKE ROASTED BROCCOLI FROM FROZEN:
Yes, you read that right! You can make this roasted broccoli recipe using frozen broccoli florets. In my opinion, they don’t taste as exceptional as fresh roasted broccoli, but it’s pretty darn close! It also saves some time since you don’t have to cut the broccoli.
The ingredients remain the same, but how you make the roasted broccoli from frozen is a little different.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add the frozen broccoli florets in a large mixing bowl and pour olive oil, and seasoning over the broccoli (save the lemon juice for after baking!). Toss to coat the broccoli evenly.
- Pour the seasoned frozen broccoli on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the broccoli is tender and the edges have started to darken and are crisp.
- You can also broil the broccoli for 1-2 minutes after it has cooked for additional crispiness.
- Pour the lemon juice evenly over the broccoli and serve.
