This blueberry sauce is one of my favorite sauces to make as a topping for breakfast and dessert recipes!

It’s amazing on pancakes and goes perfectly with my lemon cake donuts as well! This recipe is also naturally gluten-free and vegan.

The best part is that it only requires a few simple ingredients and only takes about 10 minutes to put together.

RECIPE FOR BLUEBERRY SAUCE INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

HOW TO MAKE THIS RECIPE FOR BLUEBERRY SAUCE:

  1. Add water and cornstarch to a small saucepan and whisk to combine.
  2. Whisk in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  3. Lower heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes whisking continuously or until the sauce is thick.
  4. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours to thicken up even more.
