This blueberry sauce is one of my favorite sauces to make as a topping for breakfast and dessert recipes!
It’s amazing on pancakes and goes perfectly with my lemon cake donuts as well! This recipe is also naturally gluten-free and vegan.
The best part is that it only requires a few simple ingredients and only takes about 10 minutes to put together.
So let’s talk about what you need to make this recipe for Blueberry Sauce.
RECIPE FOR BLUEBERRY SAUCE INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp lemon juice
HOW TO MAKE THIS RECIPE FOR BLUEBERRY SAUCE:
- Add water and cornstarch to a small saucepan and whisk to combine.
- Whisk in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Lower heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes whisking continuously or until the sauce is thick.
- Refrigerate for 1-2 hours to thicken up even more.
