The recipe I’m sharing today is for an amazing gluten free, vegan, and refined sugar free peach crisp.

Peach desserts are some of my all time favorite summer desserts. Peach Pie, baked peaches, peach crisp, you name it!

Peach desserts are also some of the easier recipes to make refined sugar free since most call for brown sugar as the sweetener.

Coconut sugar and maple syrup work wonderfully as brown sugar substitutes.

I also already had an amazing recipe for a crumble topping so I knew this recipe was going to basically write itself.

When I put everything together I couldn’t believe how awesome it tasted!

It tasted like the traditional peach crisp I was used to and you would never guess it was gluten free, vegan, and refined sugar free.

I always get so excited when I can remake my favorite recipes into healthier allergy friendly versions that taste the same as the traditional recipe!

So let’s talk about what you need to make this gluten free and vegan peach crisp.

GLUTEN FREE PEACH CRISP RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

To make this gluten free peach crisp recipe, you will need:

Gluten Free Peach Crisp Filling Ingredients:

  • 4 1/2 cups fresh or frozen peaches, peeled, pitted, and thinly sliced (or 2-15oz cans sliced peaches)
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 tbsp vegan butter, melted (I use “Earth Balance vegan buttery sticks”)

Gluten Free Crumble Topping Ingredients:

HOW TO MAKE GLUTEN FREE AND VEGAN PEACH CRISP:

To make this gluten free and vegan peach crisp:

  1. Preheat oven: 375°F.
  2. Mix together peach filling ingredients: In a large bowl, add all peach filling ingredients and stir to coat the peaches.
  3. Add filling to baking dish: Pour the peach filling in an 8×8-inch baking dish and spread evenly in the dish.
  4. Make Crumble Topping: Combine all of the topping ingredients, except the cubed butter, and stir to combine. Use a fork or pastry cutter to cut the cubed butter into the topping mixture.
  5. Top Peaches with Crumble: Sprinkle the crumb topping over the peaches evenly.
  6. Bake: 30 minutes until the top is set.
  7. Cool: Allow to cool 10 minutes before serving.

That’s all there is to it! It’s such an easy dessert to make.

What are some of your favorite peach desserts?  I think baked peaches are next on my list to make.

I hope you all love this peach crisp as much as my family does!

    1. Hi Patricia, yes if you use canned peaches you will want to drain them. I also rinsed mine.
