Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 4 cups water
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Soak almonds in 4 cups of water for 6 hours or overnight.
- Drain and rinse the almonds and add them to a high powdered blender.
- Add 4 cups of water to the blender.
- Optionally add in maple syrup or other sweetener and vanilla.
- Blend on high for 1-2 minutes.
- Place your nut milk bag in a large bowl with a pour spout.*
- Pour the almond milk through the nut milk bag and into the bowl. Twist and squeeze the bag to separate the pulp from the almond milk.
- Pour the almond milk into air tight storage containers (I like to use mason jars) and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
