3 Easy Overnight Oats Recipes – Gluten Free, Vegan, Refined Sugar Free
These simple overnight oats recipes are super convenient and SO delicious! They are gluten free, vegan, and refined sugar free making them the perfect healthy breakfast option. You can also prepare the overnight oats ahead of time and have breakfast ready for the week in under 10 minutes!
Have you tried overnight oats yet? They have become one of my go to quick breakfast treats.
I’m a little disappointed I didn’t try them sooner because they are AMAZING!
They have completely changed my breakfast meal prep game. I can make 4 servings of overnight oats in less than 10 minutes.
That means breakfast is prepped and ready for the majority of the week with almost no effort.
Before I finally decided to give overnight oats a try, I would just warm up a bowl of oatmeal each morning.
I’m not a fan of the store bought oatmeal packets for a few different reasons so I would always just make my own.
Each morning I would get out my ingredients and cook up some oatmeal. I spent around 10 minutes every morning getting breakfast ready.
I was also getting a little bored with that so I decided I needed to figure out how to make overnight oats to change things up a bit.
I was shocked to see how easy it is. Basically it’s oats, milk, and whatever extras you want to add.
I love how versatile overnight oats can be.
Today I’m sharing 3 of my favorite overnight oats recipes with you.
· Blueberry Cinnamon Overnight Oats
· Chocolate Covered Strawberry Overnight Oats
· Tropical Overnight Oats
The base is the same for all of the different flavors. Then you just add fruit, spices, cocoa powder, or whatever other flavorings you like.
It really couldn’t be simpler!
You can also use rolled oats or quick cooking oats. Most recipes I have seen call for rolled oats, but I actually prefer the texture of the quick cooking oats.
Overnight oats can be eaten right out of the fridge, or if you prefer them warm you can heat them up in the microwave for a minute or so.
So let’s make some!
GLUTEN FREE VEGAN OVERNIGHT OATMEAL RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
For the base of these recipes, you will need:
- Gluten free oats: You can use any type of oats you would like. Traditionally overnight oats are made with rolled oats, but I actually prefer the texture of quick cooking oats.
- Flaxseed meal: This is to add fiber and other nutrients. You can use chia seeds instead if you would like or leave this out all together.
- Milk of choice: I use “So Delicious Unsweetened Coconut Milk”. You can use any type of milk you would like.
- Maple syrup: This is to add some sweetness and additional flavor to the overnight oats. You can use any sweetener you would like.
- Vanilla: For additional flavor.
To make Blueberry Cinnamon Overnight Oats, you will also need:
- Blueberries: You can use frozen or fresh. If using frozen, no need to defrost.
- Cinnamon: Cinnamon pairs very well with blueberries and adds so much flavor.
To make Chocolate Covered Strawberry Overnight Oats, you will also need:
- Cocoa powder: This gives the overnight oats a chocolaty flavor.
- Strawberries: You can use fresh or frozen, but I typically prefer the texture of fresh strawberries in overnight oats.
To make Tropical Overnight Oats, you will also need:
- Shredded coconut: This adds SO much flavor to these overnight oats and gives them a tropical feel.
- Mango and Pineapple: Mango and pineapple pair so well together. You can use fresh or frozen.
HOW TO MAKE VEGAN GLUTEN FREE OVERNIGHT OATS:
- Make the base: Add all of the base ingredients together in a mason jar or glass container. Stir well and make sure the oats are completely covered in liquid.
- Add your extras: Add in the remaining ingredients depending on the flavor your are making. Mix it all together thoroughly.
- Store: Close the lids on the mason jars/containers and allow to soak in the refrigerator overnight. You can store overnight oats in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
That’s all there is to it! Super easy right?
I hope you love these 3 simple overnight oat recipes as much as my family does!
